was sent the wrong item but eventually got these and love them!
No waistband stretch
This skort seems to be well made and is super cute. But when I went to pull it on, it would not go above my thighs. I am a true size XS; my waist is 25". However, in order to get the waistband *to* my waist, it first needs to go over my thighs and butt. The garment's waist is elastic, but because of the way the mesh fabric is sewn into the waistband, the elastic cannot actually stretch. This is a design flaw that I'm sure will be disappointing to anyone with a hip-to-waist ratio similar to mine (25" to 33").
The waistband of the skirt was not elastic at all at first and i think i had to rip apart the seams to stretch it so it would fit. Is it supposed to be like that???? Afterwards it fit fine but seems strange.
Fits oddly
I don’t look good in stretchy shorts or leggings because of ******** and vpl, so skorts are great for working out and the mesh of the skirt part keeps me cool while I’m exercising. The skirt part will need to be hemmed up a few inches or so, because it’s quite longer than the shorts layer and not short enough to be athletic length. I bought the extra small because Los Angeles Apparel usually runs small and I’m small and thin. Stretch shorts usually ride up on my thighs, but these kinda flared out a bit at the bottom, yet the top of the shorts were very snug, and pulling up the mesh skirt, I saw panty lines and toe. Snug in the belly, which is why I could’ve sized up, but also rather snug in my small rear. Most women have more butt than I do, so I would recommend sizing up, even if the legs flare away and the skirt isn’t that short. Comfort is important, especially when exercising.
